After lots of work, the invites went out last week. I'm happy with the way they turned out although, there are a couple things that I'd change - the perfectionist in me just has to let those go. I struggled at first with what I was going to do design wise, I knew I wanted it to stand out a bit. As it turns out, our wedding date is on the eve of the harvest moon, so that helped shape the design of the invite. The poster aspect (this is 9x14) was fun and I'm happy I opted for that.
Not being a professional designer, the poster was more challenging than I thought - and I might do things a bit differently next time. I opted for screenprinting - it's not a cheap option but it gave me the look I wanted. As with all weddings you make choices about where you want to spend money, for me, the invites were important. The printers are used were Iron Forge Press - they are AWESOME. I highly recommend them.
