Hi mysterious visitors, I have a new blog: http://kumaridesign.typepad
.In the midst of chaos came a lovely package for me last week. I participated in the Beautiful Use Swap from Hoping for Happy Accidents. It was my second time doing this swap, and I had the fortune of a lovely partner - Phoebe:
Here's the gift I received from her:

I'm still in the process of a redesign, naturally these things take longer than usual and to top it all off things have been busier in other areas of my life. As I work through how I want my blog to look and feel, I'm going to post every now and then since I miss it so!
Here are few things for the home that have caught my eye over the past few months:
I've been terribly out of touch on my blog for the past month. So much so that my attempt at New Year's post wasn't even finished before I posted it. At any rate, I'll be making some changes to my blog over the next week, so please come back soon and check it out!
I've been spending the last week on the west coast in San Francisco...it's been fun working and playing here, and I still have another week left. Surprisingly, it's chilly - and of course, packing at 1 am in the morning can lead to disasterous decisions - i.e., forgetting to bring a coat. I couldn't help be drain to these lovely collars (thanks to holly) - I love how pretty and warm they look.

I went to the craft fair at Divine studio this past Sunday and saw some lovely things - jewelry, textiles, leather goods, ceramics. Basically it was like walking into a room of very talented, creative people. Some of my favorites from the show:
buji bijoux
Beautiful and delicate jewerly - my favorites were the necklaces particularly the first one shown here.
gleena
Really cool ceramics, I particularly liked the shapes Asya has come up with:
Plunket & Pivet
Divine leather bags - oooo...want the convertible clutch:
There are loads of wonderful sweaters out this year - I've been on the hunt for one that's a caridgan but cosy and big that won't cost me an arm and a leg. My first place to go for clothes is always anthropologie, however it reallydoesn't fit my criteria of not breaking the bank. But I can't resist wishing! Here are two lovely cardigans by a favorite designer, Casch Copenhagen.
Loving this lamp at the design*sponge shop. So very cool. For this and more cool things, check out the design*sponge shop for December's new items,

It's my goddaughter's first birthday this past friday and so I'm hunting down a cool gift to give her. I ran across Lille through Creature Comforts today and found some really cute things for babies as well as other lovely things.
1. Pink Booties - $29 2. Monkey Backpack - $38 3. Knit dog - $36
I really need a jewelry case so was drawn to these two but they are both way out of my price range.
4. Nikata Chest for Jewerly - $470 5. Horn Jewerly Box - $800 - a little too pricey for my taste 3. Sun Bleached Sea Urchin Plate - John Derian - $279
7. Heidi Caillard Hen - potter from Provence, love the shape of this hen - small ones run $129 8. Trees Lamp - John Derian - $900 9. Eclipse Lamp - small one runs over $2000 - it's beautiful but I'm sure West Elm will come out with a cheap version of it.
